Gently melt the beeswax in a double boiler on a low heat until liquid.

In a separate bowl, also using a double boiler, heat the shea butter, then add the argan and rosehip oils, stirring gently and being careful not to overheat the mixture. Next, add the beeswax. As soon as the ingredients have blended together, remove from the heat and stir continuously to cool down the mixture.

When it starts to become milky, add the essential oils while continuing to stir. Quickly pour the balm into small pots before the beeswax hardens.

Beeswax has skin-protecting and moisturising properties. Shea butter is wound-healing, anti-inflammatory and moisturising. Argan oil is highly moisturising, nourishing and has a rejuvenating effect, stimulates cell activity, is rich in antioxidants and vitamins A and E. Rosehip oil is moisturising, extremely high in anti-oxidants, has anti-inflammatory properties and helps to heal wounds and soften scars. Melissa essential oil is anti-inflammatory and antiviral. Mandarin essential oil is mood-elevating and strengthens the immune system. Myrrh essential oil is antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, nourishing and wound-healing, especially around the mouth and throat.
