Thomas Mayor invites you to the launch of his first book, Finding the Heart of the Nation. Thomas decided to write this book last year, after twelve months of campaigning for a First Nations Voice enshrined in the constitution, and a Makarrrata Commission, as called for in the Uluru Statement from the Heart. In his own words: "I had met many wonderful Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who told moving stories about their lives, their ancestors, and their hopes, heartbreak, and aspirations. I knew that if I could help the Australian people hear these stories, it would be a powerful contribution to the Uluru Statement campaign." Hosted by the Maritime Union of Australia Division of the Construction Forestry Maritime Mining and Energy Union, The event will be held at the MUA/ITF Conference Centre On Tuesday, 22 October, 6pm -9pm. Refreshments will be provided.
