A native of South Wales, Rosalind Wise (British, b. 1949) takes inspiration from nature, painting scenes of flower gardens, ponds, and meadows on canvases typically four to five feet across. Wise works from studies made in situ, from specimens she has collected, and from photographs she has taken. She builds up her work and finishes her paintings in her workshop at home. Her observant eye and her love of the natural world are evident in the fresh, vibrant images that grace this calendar.
