Kerryn Burgess

Kerryn Burgess grew up near Victoria’s Ninety Mile Beach and her first ever camping trip was in Croajingolong National Park, close to home. Since then she’s hiked and camped in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Iran, Egypt, Israel, New Zealand, Thailand and Canada, but her favourite campsite in the world is in Victoria’s high country (it’s a secret). Kerryn has worked full-time for Lonely Planet and Australian Gourmet Traveller magazine and now writes freelance for a range of publications. At home in central Victoria, she makes space for visitors by sleeping in a tent in the backyard.
