Estelle Blackburn
Estelle Blackburn has been a newspaper journalist for The West Australian, a radio and television journalist for the ABC and a publicist for two police ministers and a premier. A chance social meeting with a convicted killer’s brother started a six year search for the facts about the death of Rosemary Anderson. In 2001 Estelle added the prestigious Walkley for Most Outstanding Contribution to Journalism to her ever-increasing list of awards for her book Broken Lives. Previously Broken Lives won the1999 West Australian Premier’s Award for Historical and Critical Studies and the Ned Kelly Award for true crime. Estelle lives in Perth, Western Australia.
