Cadel Evans is one of the world's best professional road cyclists.
Prior to his turning to road cycling in 2001 he was a champion mountain biker, winning the World Cup in 1998 and 1999, placing 9th in the 2000 Sydney Olympics and coming second in the 2008 and 2007 Tour De France. His biography, Cadel Evans: Close to Flying, has sold over 60,000 copies. In 2009 Cadel Evans appeared at sold-out events across Australia and thrilled fans with his Cycling World Championship and Giro d`Italia wins.
